dell Intel Pentium 4 550 (3.2GHz) Processor 2gb Dual-Channel DDR2 SDRAM (533MHz) (4 DIMM slots) Nvidia 7800GTX 256MB DDR3 not sure which mobo it is mind the ram works ok on my msi kt400 mobo. |

no the ddr 4000 is ddr1 and your system is running ddr2 big difference.

They're right - what you need to look for is specifically 240-pin DDR2 RAM - an example is: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....%20(PC2%204200)
