Haha no problem, all kinds of views are welcome
but really, i think a 7900GS would get a really limited performance. And to limit a card like that, thats blasphemy! I just wanna give this old pc some boost untill i've got money for brand new one, and that can take some awful time... I really enjoy gaming :P, I'm aiming for a 6800XT/GT or a X1650, i've seen some interesting prices today.. My spider sense tells me to wait untill christmas, but thats too much of waiting ffs... |

No matter what these 'guys' tell you (and I use guys loosely) the only thing that is holding you back is the vid card! Going from a 5200 to a 6x card will make a difference. Don't worry about these guys, just upgrade the card a tad and it wouldn't hurt to make the ram a gig. Other than that, you are good

First off welcome you to hell!
NXS is right.. as usual and upgrading your card to anything higher than 6800 just causes more bottlenecking in your system! yes again performance will increase if you would upgrade to something newer but its just rapeage of good gfx card!I can't even begin to comprehend why they make AGP versions anymore. :nxs: My last rig had 6800GT (overcloked to ultra) and must say it did the job well BF2,CSS,BF2142 all settings high with 1440X900 res with good enough framerates. I had 2gigs of ram with intel D805 at 3.4ghz tho ..

Actually, I'm always right. Don't waste your money on a 6 Series card. You csn
get a 7800GS for under $200. This one is only $170 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130274 If you ever do upgrade you'll be able to sell the 7800GS easier and for more money. Your CPU may not power the 7800GS to it's full potential but it will still run alot faster than any 6 Series card you find.
