The 8800 isnt any older than the r600. It just took AMD longer to release their cards because of poor fabrication results. Nvidia just got the card out on time. Tesselation is not supported in crysis and afaik there are no killer games coming out in the next 18 months that support it. DX10 engines of any note are Unreal3.0 and Crysis, both being TWIMTBP titles. The 2900 is however a better buy than the gts, that is without question. Its just a shame AMD cannot build a rival to the gtx and ultra.

Good spec aka, but hold on for the quadcore. Source, U3 and crysis will benefit immensly.

Before I forget, get a x-fi. There's no point in having great graphics with mediocre onboard sound.

Yes a more than valid point. Even if it is a cheap xi-fi it will be well worth it.

Well, I guess I know why Unreal3 is taking do long to release. They are gearing it to dx10. What a shame. I won't get to see it in all its glory.

How the hell do you people manage to afford such power house rigs? I'm still living in the stone age with a single processor and it still manages to play most of the top games, so whats the point, really?
