Dailytech posted a very interesting story about the failure rate of the 360 hitting 33%, those figures are just amazing and with that MS writes another piece of console history. Not a very good piece of history though

Well it has not yet been confirmed and it comes from two EX EB games workers, so no trustable source yet, but then again..

Like Ms is going to confirm this, no way. That would be the same as Bush acknowledging that the Iraq war is really about control of an unstable region and the possible impact on oil prizes if they decided to boycott the us.

I don't know where you got the idea that this info is just from 2 persons but I suggest reading past the first paragraph in the future.

might be true because i know some people who had to send in their 360 every year because something is always broken. either the HDD or the Graphic Card

I don't doubt that the xbox 360 has "high failure rates", but I'm not at all satisfied with that article's findings. How the hell can you say that "The Xbox 360 is the least reliable gaming console in recent history" when its just based on anecdotal evidence - casual observations made by ex employees and customer service workers whose jobs pretty much depend on people having problems that need solving (can you see a conflict in interest there?). Lets see some quantitative factual data rather than having these douche bags guestimating.

I believe the 360 failure rate is higher than 33%

Mine just got the RROD from playing FM2, many many others are having the same problem, 360 becoming a brick.

I'm just 20 days inside the one year warranty but I have read that alot of 360 owners have problems just out of the one year warranty & have to pay to get it fixed , some are even on their third or fifth 360 within two years :bucky!:

When I get mine back I'm trading it in @ EB for some games for the PC plus a wired 360 controller to use in the pute, when GT5 comes out I will buy a PS3.

I still cannot believe how MS were allowed to sell such an unreliable piece of hardware, $700 bucks should at least buy you three years without a warranty claim imo.

I will buy a new Elite when mines not fixable in anyway cuz I love the console, im sure other fans would do the same. But its when your on the 3rd or 4th that it gets just crazy.
