I'm all for more horsepower :-) But I think it should be fun for most
medium grade PC's still. They want it to look Fabulous, but they also
know most people aren't rich. I'll tell ya all about the pretty if ya want.

werty makes a good point, once you experience the full thing, it's hard to retract. I played Far Cry with everything on and I thought that it totally rocked. My computer is out of date now and it can't do that with the latest games and I'm strongly fighting the urge to upgrade by buying consoles and console games but it's very tempting.

i guess you can play successfuly crysis if you have a quad core cpu and a dx10.1 card like 9800 series from nvidia

9800GTX is due out in November 2007 and will retail in the US for about $650.

A 8800 series card will play crysis and my SLI setup better play
it with all the Bells and Whistles :-)
