Hell yeah, you should have no problems running the game at all. Perhaps not at max settings but there's still no real benchmark info to confirm or deny that. Running it sure isn't a problem you are going to face for sure.

I'm with Gazz. You should have no problems. But none of
us will actually know until it's released :-)

I was listening to the 1up yours podcast and a editor said when he was at the crytek demo at E3:
Quote:
" I was talking to one of the Crytek guys and I asked him what sort of machine I you need to play this game. And he told me no doubt a Quad core CPU an 8800 and 2gb of RAM."
Looks like i need some more CPU.

2 cores will be the minimum requirement for optimal play. Quad cores will be nice if you got it, but inline with other newer games, will only increment the FPS slightly as it will only help with lesser aggresive systems like AI.

In terms of GFX you will be able to run the DirectX9.0 render on 7800 series and Radeon x1800+ series, but not on full details. A recent preview of the DirectX10 renderer showed it running 'ok' on a Geforce 8700m GPU, so if you have a 8800 or new Radeon, the game will run amazing in DX9 mode and DX10 renderering at medium - high details will be achievable.

E3 demos were running the DX10 renderer on a single 8800GTX, and if you look at the videos it seems to run smooth enough.

I don't think you need dual core to run the game as they have said that you can play Crysis on a three year old machine. Dual core wouldn't hurt though

I said for optimal play, so if you consider that physics and AI could be offloaded to the 2nd core, then the benefit would be immediate and quite apparent, but as you add more cores, the benefit becomes less apparent.

Thats if you want crappy visual but yeah thats what they said. I wouldn't waste the experience of this game playing it at it lowest detail settings with a crappy resoution.
