Im looking into the near future to upgrade my computer. I would like to know what you guys feel is the best case.
*Stipulations: -No side window, vents are OK -No annoying flashing lights -Must be able to hold a GeForce 8800 or 2 -Id prefer to not have a door on the front, id just take it off when I bought it anyway -2 usb ports in front, dont care about audio -at least 2 5.25" drive bays, and 3 3.5" drive bays and I guess try to keep the price below $100, if not ill still look. Thanks p.s. Right now im looking at http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?...N82E16811119068

I also have a CoolerMaster Stacker. It's the best case I've
ever owned :-) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811119042

The one you are looking at now is pretty muck ok, especially for that amount of money. I myself have a cheap one for my normal pc, forgot the brand and a
Coolermaster wavemaster in black for my gaming pc. The pictures on the website don't do the case justice, it's way better looking. Still, it's a matter of taste in the end. My case does have a door, but I have no issues with that.

i don't like cases with front panels or fancy designs. the only case i liked with front panel was the Coolermaster Stacker.
i saw it in black and it was like some armour things that if you throw it against someones head he turns into an eternal retard or so ![]() Yep, there is a diff in CM Stacker and Cooler Master Stacker ![]() |

Kam how loud is the
![]() http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811119103 I see that it has space for 4x 120mm fans on the side door, seems a bit excessive, but with all those fans it must put out quite a bit of noise. And as far as the ![]() http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811119042 I think It would be hard to find a mobo that supports 6!! usb2 connection for the front panel. unless you dont install the extra usb card that comes with most mobos these days. also i couldnt see being able to use all 6, possibly 4 for game controllers. As far as that side vent, I see it has holes to install a fan, do you know how big of a fan, looks like 2 sets of holes. Inside looks like 120mm, outside may be 240mm or arnt those holes on the outside? Thanks for the input guys. I actually did see them when I was looking, but didnt know quite what to think about it. I think out of the 2 I like the look of bottom one better.

dunno how loud the Cooler Master Stacker is because I never got it. My friend got it but his is water cooled and funny enough the watercooler makes all the noise and not the PC itself.
About CM STACKER First of all: I dunno what fans you use but in my experience the bigger the fans the more quiet they are because they don't have to run at full speed. you can add another 120mm (or 80mm, don't remember and can't find the plate right now) fan to the side with the big round hole ridden thingy. it looks big on the outside but on the insde it#s like this: ![]() But there is also a side plate without the holes. I got both and used the without holes. on the other side (the motherboard side that is) you can add a 340mm radial fan that cools the motherboard and HDDs or whatever you got sticking in there. i had it but it made a bit of a funny sound so I took it out again. The back takes 1 120mm fan on top and eventually another from the PSU. 2 80mm fan on bottom if you need to (came with the case when i bought it). on top of the case is a spot for a 80 mm fan... i had no problem at all getting those 6 USB ports to work. to be honest i didn't do anything as far as i remember. just plug it in and be happy. i also added 2 fans on the front (used to be 3 but i gave one away). unfortunitly my STACKER case is empty because of karma punishing me with the curse of the eternal empty wallet so i had to sell my sys parts. So there is nothing to cool and the case is colecting dust. I also got the Black steel version and not the silver one. I'll build another killer gaming rig in a month or 2 since i finally got a job again ![]() |

Kam looking at the pictures more specifically
![]() How did you mount the 340mm radial? Did you use a different side plate? Drill holes yourself? How much space is there from the mobo tray to the back side? In one of the models of cases I saw the mobo tray slid out the back of the case. This case looks like it might do that. The tray does not look completely attached to the rest of the case is it? Also as far as the 2 80mm fans on the bottom, did you just screw them into that screen/vent on the bottom? I like this case I think when I do change cases I will go with this type.
