So which steps did you take so far out of all we asked you too? Show us some screenies so we can verify the results.

i did the defrag, removed ageia physics and also changed the settings in the nvidia control panel.1 thing i rememba when i got cod2 demo it was running really s*** the first time.it was the first game cus my lappy was new and the first system i had having a decent card(my pc has integrated video).i changed some settings in the nvidia control panel but i dont remeba which ones and that was the begginning of butter smooth gaming for me on all the games i dlded so far-arma,bf2,hl2,css,graw2....

There still is the possibility of using rivatuner for your card. I don't have a Nvidia card in my pc's right now, so I am not the best person to help you with that. I asked Magus to help you and I hope Slaymate and GM2 will step up to the plate too.

rivatuner?well i heard about ntune i even downloaded it but my board doesnt support so it only runs but has no features for me.it doesnt show temps, no voltage monitor, autotune doesnt tune anything, no overclocking bla bla.only thing worked was the benchmark-it shows 3-4 creatures one is sitting on a wheel chair...

I think it is time for a new "half ass assumption". You are saying that your lappy has a CPU from Intel. So that means your main board works with a front-side bus. However, in a lot of cases (especially laptops) Intel dual core systems are not able to do their work properly. Though your vid. card does the graphical stuff, it still has to get its tasks via the CPU. So, when the CPU has both to give tasks to the video card ánd has to do its own jobs (AI stuff etc.), all that data has to go through the front-side bus. That front side bus may become a bottleneck in some situations. As if all the traffic from a fully occupied, six-laned highway has to cross a two-laned bridge. Make sure you have a front-side bus of at least 1 Ghz, else your dual core will be as "slow" as a regular pentium 4 (I think). And your video card might be sharing its memory with another piece of hardware (as often happens in laptops).

Gazz, tell me what you are thinking of this.

PS.: shared or not, 128 mb of videomemory is to little for recent games. I doubt your card has a better performance than my G-force 6200 SE Turbocache.

but my cpu was able to handle all the traffic pretty well some days ago.i havent done any kind of overclocking or something simply cus i dont have that feature.y i am getting so low fps inspite not changing any details or any setting in the bios i dont know.i m not able to get to the roots of this prob and i think it lies somewhere in the temp.i really need to see the temp but i dont know how..

btw ill see what rivatuner has for me and then ill reply...

ok i have the rivatuner-much much better than ntune.so now tell me what changes should i do

Don't forget the soundcard. Onboard sound the most overlooked item in a pc and can really put a strain on all components. With normal desktop pc's I always recommend getting an additional soundcard. Not only is the sound better, but it takes a lot of stress away from any cpu.

128 mb is too way little as Richard said, but more important are the clock speeds of the gpu and with the card you have now it is way too little.
