Could be mouse DPI, VSYNC or Max Frame To Render Ahead settings related. Google them and work it out.

you've got 1920x1200, make use of it, i would

And richard, most acer screens are cheap and not that good, i'd rather stay with a dell, which is alot better. Though some of the newer black acers do a good job. :P
Magus, I was (of course) meaning the more recent black models from Acer.

Better don't use widescreens for gaming, regular screens with a 4:3 ratio are better then. I know what I am talkiing about, I compared the same game on my desktop (17" regular screen) with it on my laptop (17" widescreen). After this case study, it really appeared to be the best to play on a regular monitor.

I love playing on my widescreen, and nothing's gonna change that

Same here. Until you have tried a 22 incher, you have no right to state otherwise!

I just got a good deal on a new 22" widescreen. It's a no name brand. Proview.
But it has a surprisingly good picture. It only came with a vga cable but it has a
DVI hook-up, newegg will have me one here on Wednesday. It plays Bioshock,
Crysis Demo and NFS Most Wanted Fabulicious. I like it better than my 20" CRT
which would play at 2048x1536. 1680x1050 just means I add more AA and I
get a wider view of the surroundings. Here's a pic :-)

Looks nice slay, but your desk needs a friggin overhaul!

Most 22" panels are made by a select few manufacturers, so unless you absolutely must have that exclusive brand then you can save a fortune buying an unknown. Also 1680x1050 is absolutely fine. Whilst not as high as 1080p resolution, it still supports 720p which is console specification and then us 8800 boys and gals can whack on 4xAA and still get 60fps in most games (maybe not crysis).
