advice, maximus exureme

im toying with the idea of upgrading from a msi 975x playimum power-up to the asus maximus extreme,my ouestion is will i be able to use my existing 4x igb of corsair ddr2 sdram on this board, iknow they wont do it justice but i cant afford [just yet] the Â£300 pounds for 2gb of ddr3 . i will upgrade from 2 duo e6700 to a quard core but will have to use my existing x1950xtx 512 mb, or am i getting ideas above me station as i am still a bit of a noobie.
