You'd be way better off getting at least PC2 8500 memory. Your cpu is probably running at a 1066 bus speed. And PC2 8500 will have you running at 1066:1066 or a 1:1 ratio. I consider it a highly desirable feature for best performance
Edit: Asus makes excellant Intel mobo's. I haven't had much success with their Nvidia chipset thou. If you want a good SLI mobo I'm going to have to recommend EVGA. I've had a few problems but they handled it well (I have a friend that works for EVGA America Division). I don't know why I didn't say this earlier but after my 1st 680i mobo I've learned to buy a high cfm fan for the Northbridge and attach it with tie-straps if need be. That's an old AMD XP cpu fan and I've already replace it with an even higher cfm fan ;)

Could be an idea, the P5K is Intel, and the P5N-E SLI i have now is 650I SLI, but alas i'm not too happy with it if it can't handle 4 sticks properly .
Anyways if I cannot get this fixed we should have a talk on msn or something Slay. Else we can always Pm, your offer is really interesting! But the mail-in-rebate thing and all, I don't know if i can pre-pay the extra and I don't want to bear you with extra costs, shipping is a problem too. And if it does get sent from America i'd only take it if it would be tested with Memtest or something, would be so stupid to have broken ram here, and then having to RMA it..
But we'll speak about that when the time comes!

Finally got it fixed thanks to LOMBARDO from the asus forums who told me to set my vcore to 1.4v +100mv, and more precise timings, everything works great now!
Also thanks for Killert for telling me that i should do that vcore thingy as I was kind of scared of breaking my cpu, but since he had the same mobo and told me the mobo has some vcore problems!
Yay, party time! :b anana:

I'm glad you got it fixed. I see a lot of people that complain about Asus Support but I've always gotten Good Support and it sounds like you did 2
