The best way to destabilize Windows is by using it for gaming and regular tasks like office work or browsing. Me, I use XP for gaming (as a console sorta) and use Mandriva Liinux for things like office work and financial stuff.
Keeping them separated means that Windows remains pretty fast (essential for any pc gamer!) and does not clutter and you avoid all risks like viruses and malware while doing your sensitive finances. Sure there are some viruses on Linux, but they stand in pale comparison to the more commonly used Windows.
