E8400 on an Asus P5KSE/EPU doing nice stuff
Look what I discovered. Besides clocking down deeper (when idle or lightly loaded) then Intel Speedstep itself would have done, the Core 2 Duo E8400 of mine seems to overclock to about 3.2 GHz automatically on the motherboard I use.
