The PC's spec's will be:
cpu - Intel Quad Extreme QX9650
mobo - Asus P5K Deluxe WiFi
memory - Patriot 4GB DDR2 1150
video - EVGA 9800GTX+
power - 750 watt Modular Power Supply
The case is starting to look pretty. I've painted it and clear coated it but it was streaky so I sanded it down and did a repeat. Needless to say I still wasn't satisfied so it's got about 6 or 7 coats on the top and sides. I should have some new pictures of the case tomorrow.
I've changed my mind with the hardware. Since Intel is phasing out the i7 920 I decided to go ahead and do a complete upgrade. NewEgg sent me a D stepping i7 920, HeHeHe
Well I didn't have a chance to actually work on the case portion of this mod today. But I did take a couple of pictures.
I bought a Artic Cooling Accelero heatsink for the GTX280 but it's really just to big. More on that in a few minutes. Here's a few pictures. I added the Enzotech ramsinks in-lieu of the cheap looking heatshield they supplied.
So I decided to use one of the heatsinks from my Gaming PC instead and I used a couple of 100x100x10mm fans which makes it slightly smaller than the Artic Cooling heatsink. Here's a few more pictures.
Because of how big the video card is I've had to bend the heatsink on the southbridge. And I've had to rearrange the fans. The video card is holding one side of the mobo up higher so some of the pictures look a little lopsided.
