Ok, I got a new power supply and hooked it up. No change. There is still no signal going to the monitor and no boot up noises.

I have decided to replace the motherboard and upgrade at the same time. I am going with a DDR3 setup. I upgraded in 2005 so its time for a new set up.

I think you pissed on your motherboard to convince yourself you need to upgrade.

Well I am back on my own computer. I installed everything last night and things seem to be working well except for one thing. When I try and play Fallout 3, the cd drive spins up like its starting the game, but then nothing happens. The cursor turns into a spinning cd icon like its going to start the game but nothing happens. I've let it sit for 30 minutes but it never starts. I have no idea why. The cd drive seems to work fine, it worked for the motherboard install disk last night.

I got a new error message when trying to play a game. It says:

"Fallout3luncher.exe. - bad image
the application or DL C:\windows\system32\sdm.dll is not a valid windows image. please check this against your installation diskette."

And it also gave me this message:

"Timeout verifying for original disc.

You are trying to start a copy-protected application which requires the original disc to be in the CD/DVD-ROM drive. Please check to make sure your disc is an original.

If this message occurs while using the original disc, please check if the correct communication mode is chosen for your drive. Please check to make sure the DMA mode is enabled by using the Device Manager:"
