It will run well enough with that.
Why 20GB Harddrive? XP alone takes around 7GB and the game I'm guessing is 10GB, that doesn't leave much room does it? She can't be that cheap and if she is then you friking buy her a better drive!
It's not like they cost alot anymore.
I remember back 9 years ago 45GB IBM Deskstar cost me 1940MK thats about 330€/490$ today.

The GTS250 is at least as fast as our HD4850 cards, so that should not be a problem.
What mobo and cpu are you actually planning to use? When it comes to HDDs, I suggest a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 or 7200.12. Those have low temperatures, have a decent guarantee (3 years afaik) and they are fairly cheap. And fairly undestructable as well, they won't die within a few years

Not sure on wat specific board it is I know its just an entry level board, but is more than enough for her... The CPU is a E5200 C2D...

I think it is a Pentium Dual Core then, because on the Intel site I only found that architecture when searching on "E5200" ( Search Results). Don't worry, it is good enough for her, but it is not a Core 2 Duo. So that means that no matter the Front-side bus speed is, the maximum memory clock frequency is 800 MHz. No problem in this case of course, but even when the motherboard has a faster FSB there is no point in using that additional headroom. [I pointed this out because it is a completely different "design" comparede to a C2D. And being accurate is important when selling pc's, in my humble opinion]
And indeed you shouldn't worry about the board, because as long as it is a good brand, even the entry level boards are very decent nowadays.

If the PC is just going to do lite PC gaming and internet I would recommend looking at AMD. In the low budget market AMD is hard to beat. And I hate to say it but the GTS 250 is basically a 9800GTX with a new board design. I would be looking at the ATI cards 2.

Erm, if you read well, then it is clear that "she" is already having that mobo. Hence the fact that I did not say that too. If I had to choose between a Pentium D and an Athlon II X2, then I would not doubt and go for the AMD one.

ROFL You, Slaymate, recommending an ATI card? I believe I can see water burning!
You have a point though, especially when considering DirectX 11 support....
