I'm somewhat of a noob so bear with me...I have a Radeon 9550 256 MB and am understanding that it is supposed to have 250 MHZ core clock speed and 400 MHZ memory clock. I recently installed powerstrip and it says that Core clock is 249.57 mhz BUT that memory clock is only 195 mhz. Is this a problem or am I missing something?
Thanks for the help. |

The memory is dual pumped, so it's 195 x 2, so that's 390, that could be normal, I don't think you have a problem. Does it perform under the norm in 3dmark or anything?

not sure. Havn't tried 3DMark yet. What would be "the norm"...Ialso have 512 MB RAM, P4 2.53, 60 GB HD.
Good to know that it is dual, so thats close to 400 mhz anyway. Thanks for the reply. I'll try out 3d mark |

I don't really know the norm for a 9550 (but I do know that it won't be very much...), use the compare database on the futuremark site and compare to others with the same card (and take in account that many results are from overclocked cards).
