video card

okay my X800 finally got here i ordered a X800XT PE power color but.... it says X800XT all over the crap and the box that came with it but nothing says PE i've checked out device manager and that properties thing when you right click the desktop? where the hell is my PE? :bucky!:

NVM what I said, the X800xt has a clock speed of core/memory 500/500- while the x800 xt PE has a clock speed of 520/560. I think the x800xt PE is just an overclocked version of the x800xt. Having said that, the cards look identical, and nowhere on the card does it say PE....So they are probably the same except their clock speeds are different. To make sure you have the PE, get ATI Tool and check what your clock speeds are...

yes you absolutly right but i paid a thousand bucks for it when i could get a XT version for $500 so they sold me the XT version for $1000 i want my money back :rant:

i have to buy every thing Australian and our currency is pretty low i worked out the american price from all major internet sellers and then converted it to australian and it worked out the same as it would from an australian internet store and thats the cheapest 1000 bucks but i waited 3 months for it? so if i send it back how long am i gonna wait :bucky!:

well, no matter what you need to get your cash back bro... theres no excuse.. but first you should email the reseller you got it from and ask waht the sandpaper is going on. also since its soo close to time for the X850 series to come out, i might, if i were you, just tell them youll send them the non-PE back if they can manage to get you one fo the first X850XT that come in... the xt version of this card should be equl to greater than the PE you have now, and you might save a lil cash (not sure about the cash tho) but even if you have to simpyl give the card back and get money. in return i wouldnt let them stick me with what in your case is a severly overpriced XT.


PS the longer you wait to have this resolved the more your chances of having it resolved to your satisfaction go down.

good idea but i don't think i'll manage to get an entirely new card i'll try though :thumbup:

well i ended up with the x800xt oh well can't win them all
