Hey everyone, ive been having some issues with my Radeon 9800 pro's. My first card was defected and constantly overheated in my "icecube pc". So i sent in my card to ati and they replaced the card, so i replaced my old power supply and case to a thermaltake tsunami. Now my problems are system hangs durring gameplay. Some times i can play for 10 min but it crashes at random times, in counterstrike source and in soldner ect. I have done alot to attempt to fix. I have tried my old drivers that the card first came with and the new drivers, have reinstalled windows many times, and i have updated chipset drivers and the directx drivers. Agp is enabled and I have tested it. nothing wrong in bios. my system is a p4 2.8 800fsb with a 1024 of pc2700 ddr ram with 2 80gig hard drives and lcd NEC 1765 monitor
does anyone else have this problem?

hey there. Mebvis, just open your pc tower, look a the agp dlot and clean it. after you dothis, be sure your power supply is enough. you have to pay attention the way the cable is relied to you GPU in the rear of your pc case. sometimes it may be bad screwd in. tell me when you're done

Mmm... have you tried in another PC...? What happens...? Btw, what power supply do you have, because if it is a 400W "No name" it may be the cause.

wow, your setup is very similar to mine. Im not saying this will help you, but ive had no problems since I disabled Hyperthreading in my bios. Sometimes when I started FarCry or certain games, my computer would randomly hang and shut down. After I went into my BIOs and disabled hyperthreading the problem dissapeared completely. No joke. Give it a try and tell me what happens...

what is the trade of your card,

Sapphire, ASUS, ATi itself...

i know some people who have problems with the Sapphire 9800 Pro 128 MB

so it might be a videocard problem, because Sapphire is the most worthless trade there is

dont know if you have 1 but ok :P
