AFAIK there is no 9xxx series card on pci-x.
As to the 6600, it will be better
You might consider buying the gt since there not that much more expensive.

I just bought the ATI Radeon 9600 XT 256mb and tried to put it into my computer, only to find that it doesnt fit.
I do have a PCI Express slot though, maybe there is a PCI Express version of the 9600?

Anyhow, if there ISNT one, would a PixelView GeForce PCX6600 256MB PCI Express 128bit 400MHz RAMDAC +TV-out, DVI be just as good?

the x600XT is slightly faster than the 9600XT and it comes in PCI-E

X600 would be a step back from the 6600 you suggested, and yes they are all better than 9600

Edit: don't double post :nxs:

Listen, im very confused.

Can someone just tell me which card has the best graphics and performance, out of these:

1. http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.a...?ProductID=7663

2. http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.a...?ProductID=7191

3. http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...d=64790&_LOC=UK

4. http://www.dabs.com/uk/productview.htm?qui...JW&refererid=WQ
The first one, However avoid the 256 mb Version! ... I don't think I have to explain my self again why to avoid it.

I cannot see the last one; tell me what it is please.

I'll go with the 6600.
But are their any other versions out there I should be aware of

I am looking for the best card I can find for about £110.

p.s. why avoid more memory?
Damn it! Why you don't ever read my posts for every thread that you are asking and others asking about?!

In short, it uses DDR memory, crap for big memory types as this one, so better get a 128 mb version.

Let me tell you something, i think this will make you understand:
I have a 64 MB card, that doesn't stop me from getting 120fps+ with 60-80 average in HL2, or getting 59 fps in doom 3, or any other new and old game on the market. my memory has quick response to data and it's made by a good company, it can be over clocked even higher than a 128mb version of the same card, because my memory is better.

Got it?
