ok im buying a new pc but im having difficulty with a few things:
i can either get a amd4000 with a good graphics card e.g. 6800gt to 6600gt
or
and amd(3500-3400)<need your help on which and get.... and a great graphics card e.g. x850xt
(all with 1024 ram)
mostly used for gaming
so it needs a balance i cant get a great processer and great graphics card, one must be scaled down if the other is high.
Any other recommendations are welcome, thanks in advance!!

I would go for highest CPU you can afford & AMD 4000 ( is basically FX53 ) will give excellent results teamed up with 6800 GT as my specs, system runs any game at top speed for me altho my monitor won't permit higher res than 1024 X 768
Your mobo is another option to consider of course, presuming you have to buy this as well.

Why don't buy an FX-55 and like a X800XT PE or X850XT if you can afford it

The 4000 is basically a FX53 and the Fx55 is basically an FX53 with one extra socket, FX53 (939) FX55 (940)
go for the 4000 and get a GT and you will be laughing

4000+ (939) is basically the FX53 (940) as the 940 is only supported by opteron processors. FX55 (939) is a step ahead of the FX53/4000+.
