Yep. I have the same card and ithe driver really has improved.

I've heard (on the Steam Forums) that people have been complaining of a decrease in performance. About 10-20fps loss on HL2 and CSS.

there's always that possibility that these people had overclocks and video settings tweaked for perfoamnce that went back to default.

do i have to uninstall my old drivers before installing the new ones?

You don't have to but it's a good idea. Uninstall, reboot, install, reboot, done
