screen goes black at every startup

everytime i boot up my computer, after i get to desktop, my screen just goes black for about 5 seconds
why?

What programs boot at start up?

It's most likely the catalyst driver which calibrates itselfs. Do you have your monitor correctly installed?

Maybe it is because your vid card is oc'd

You're not using a boot skin app are you?

These can cause probs at start up :thumbup:
