Not really, take into consideration that you're paying $100 for the GPU and cooler, $50 for the packaging, cables and games... I think the RAM is actually quite cheap considering the low yeilds... Maybe $0.5 or something if you include the markup.

And they might have better availabilty than the x800's when they first came out...
