Rappelz

Game Summary:

In rappelz the world was kept in order by two elements, creation and extinction. The human race was too ignorant
to develop its own civilization so the two gods sent the deva and asura to assist the humans. The deva represent
light and the asura darkness. After some time gaia (humans) became settled.

The humans became unsettled though when a woman who called herself "the witch" appeared and disapproved the sanctity
that had been handed down from ancient times and claimed that the history of the humans had been distorted.

The "witch's" words rang so strongly in the humans ears that they believed her words to be true and turned the
human race into chaos. in the end Gaia, Deva and Asura had put their strength together and overcome the "witch" burning her alive.

Years later, the chaos that the witch had spread has started to come alive again as many of her followers reappear in the world.

My Impressions:

When the game first came out they had a problem with overcrowding and bad lagging issues but they fixed all that
with a feature where you can turn people off in towns to reduce lag and stop the annoying disconnects.
The graphics were pretty good and could capture your eye with the different regions and zones, the quests can
become a bit repetitive and boring but the rewards in the end are worth it, while you can play the game without
doing any quests and still hit a high lvl it is much faster to do the quests until you are high enough to hit an
instance. The dungeons were ok, a bit overcrowded and could cause some strife when trying to find a spot to party
in and a zone to kill mobs without being chased away by someone else. the really amazing part of the game is in the
pet system, there are so many unique and special pets that you can tame and the higher the lvl of your pet the more
usefull skills it can obtain and just like any character your pet can also evolve and learn new skills as well as
have a much better look. Their weapon upgrade system has also seen better days as where now weapons and armor have
a chance at breaking at +1 forcing many people to hold onto their prized rare weapons.

Pros:
Dungeon is not a bad place to lvl
Graphics catch your eye
Mounts are pretty cool
Pet system
Dozens of different pets to tame and raise
Skills are free to learn

Cons:
Dungeons can be overcrowded
Quests can become repetitive
Upgrading equipment has become bad
Towns can be overcrowded badly (if turn people is off)
Can be hard to find monsters to kill for quests as outside maps can also be crowded

I love rappelz!
i am a massive fanboy and i admit it!
there are 9 different classes to pick from 3 from each race
its easy to find a party for the dungeons and now that there are 4 different dungeons each with 2 instances its getting easier to find a spot!
there are cards you can get to increase the effectiveness of your skills, stones you can socket into your equipment to increase various stats, a blacksmith that will take your equipment to higher lvls and make them more effective, as well as cubes that can at +whatever to your equipment. currently i have 5 different characters that i play most of my equipment is at least +3 and all have stones galore! the classes you can play are holly warrior, cleric, breader (pet based class), fighter, kahuna (buffer), spellsinger (pet class), strider(assassin), dark mage, and sorcerer(pet class). i love this game i have a cleric, kahuna, spellsinger, strider (dual weild swords), and a strider (xbow). I'm on the yeti server under the names marduke, modock, modock22, bridegroom, and fluffaluffuguss come find me if you need help ingame!



ok the fanboy is now done with this game untill they manage to kick the rupee sellers and fix the economy!
its very hard to gain money in this game and some items are now going for more than 100million... and the item is an empty pet card
you can still fail to tame the pet and loose the card! wtf the econ in this game is so messed up its not even funny!
i can only hope that someone out there soon finds a way to repair the damage of allowing all the bots and not actively banning rupee sellers from the game.

woohoo the economy of the game has had some major corrections made to it! The Auction house is now up and running and empty pet cards are down from 100m to about 10 or 15m and tamed pets are only around 25 to 40mil depending on lvl and such!
this game is starting to rock again!
