For the record:
'I am not a member or have never voted for the the BNP!' I am not a racist and I have many friends in France and Germany. I just dispise the hypocracy (No thats not a type of bird in WoW) of European ministers in Brussels having no relation with the actual people/countries of Europe! |

I voted no aswell, not that i despise the concept of an european constitution but the influence of other countries on our dutch policies. If we needed to illegalize softdrugs right now, the police would have to put manpower on that. This would mean other crimes would not get the attention they deserve.
Suppose all those idiot kids hanging around coffeeshops in Holland right now would enter bars and start drinking instead of being to stoned to do anything. I say drug them and keep them silent! Afterall they inhale it themselfs. European integration is not really a bad thing GM, it enhances our industrial strenght. It does however interfere with multiple cultures that have excisted and developed for thousands of years. A general constition like in America probably doesn't work here since they got it relatifly early in their excistence. There are too many countrys who are too nationalistic (like Germany and France) for this bs. As far as integration goes, its an never ending story. Immigrants as an whole, not as individual cases (there are some sad sad storys there), weaken our system. It is a known fact and in no way a racist remark to point out that language and educational problems trow up barriers that are almost unpassable. And about what Tony blair did in a so called democracy, just this :

well yeah you're right GM, they don't have alot of "feeling" with the rest of europe, but did you know the "president" of the european parliament changes every six months?? that's not enough to develop good "feeling"
well the constitution is supposed to make that the leader stays in place for a longer periode, two years I think it was, that way he/she (ya never know) could really do things. and one more thing, once in the 19th century Victor Hugo said "Europe should unite to become a United Stated of Europe" what he meant was that on their own, the countries of europe could not "survive" against the growing power of the USA, so they should work together to still have something to say in the world, and that's exactly what the EU was designed for, alongside of making a big open market without borders or taxes to pay within europe. I've gotta go study chemistry now, I don't know if I said what I meant correctly...or the other way around. seeya ![]() |

The rotation of presidency has very little bearing on the greater scheme of things... no EU president will risk upsetting other member states and damaging important trade relations. |
