the civilians were warned that they need to stay in their homes and not be out in the streets. those pics of dead children were blown up trucks and cars. so obviously they didn't listen to the warnings. it's too bad yes.
yeah there's a difference between SOLDIER lives and CIVILIAN lives. but a life is a life and yes alot of people were killed when we nuked japan but compared to 1 million deaths on both sides, that is still lives saved on BOTH SIDES.
