Americian movies are dumb

this is a phrase i never want to hear from anyone in germany ever again!
yea we make a lot of crappy movies....

but i just watched a german film and i swear i'm dumber for having done so

night of the living dorks is worse for the human brain than american pie!

it sounded like a funny show in the description the reviews on netflix were realy not so bad
so i figured why not give it a shot.... that decision was worse than when i decided to instult a gang banger w/ a baseball bat (my knee is permanently screwed now just to let you know i can even make nxs cringe by making my knee cap pop back and forth across my leg with it).

so in summary yes we dumb americans make some shitty flix but your no better and now i have proof!
(altho the name of the highschool was pretty clever)

It depends also on what film it is :biggrin:.
"Der Untergang" is quite good. The actor playing Hitler is worth an oscar
Just like "Platoon", to mention an American example, is good as well.

But the fact is though, that the percentage of good films out of the regional total is different. Here in Europe, the percentage is higher (I think), because here a movie is a "bit of culture". While in the States, it is a way of making people who are already richer-than-rich feel a "need" to get even wealthier. And a manner to get us some dollars/euros/whatever poorer. Some films from Hollywood are comparable with Microsoft products: their actual worth is lower than the price you are paying for it.

But Dutch films aren't that good btw, I think "we" should give up here in the Netherlands. :biggrin:

We could make a nice documentary and put all of our crappy actors in a sealed off space and just watch what happens when they run out of food.

We as Dutch people are already responsible for that crappy show called "big brother" (known all over the world) and this would be the next logical step. With NBC putting cage fighting, prime time on Saturday night this could be the European response. Pure crap solely aimed at getting more viewers.

As far as the quality of European movies go, most of them suck too. There are a few good ones, really good ones even. La vita e Bella is my personal favourite. Beautiful heart warming film about a father and son in a concentration camp who make everything into a joke. Making the best out of a really crappy situation.

I like "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain", to mention an example of a good one. But I get your point, european movie/tv quality is in decrease. Idols, Big Brother ...

Please don't get me wrong there are a lot of forgein films that i love however most of them come out of hong kong, japan, and india (bollyworld rocks!) and there are even some french films that i love i can't remember the name but this really cute chick is just friggin running constantly from beginging to end and she has some funky hair color too! however the point i'm trying to get across here is THAT MOVIE SUCKED MASSIVELY!!!!!!!! please go watch a trailer for it and lose about 1k brain cells!
