You know whats funny... The people who pirate software claim that they do it because the prices of the software are too high... The companies responce to that? "Your the dam reason its high, We don't sell as many as we use to because of pirating so we had to up the prices to make up for the lack of sales...".

Pirates are idiots. They want games for free but then bitch when a game comes out too early or bugged yet they never payed for it...

I hate pirates, especially since I plan on being a game programmer...

I personally don't like to waste my money on stupid games I would only try and throw in the corner to collect dust. No thanks!

I may have very few original games, but these are games that are worth my cash. Brood War, Baldur's Gate... stuff that rocks! :thumbup:

Rest of the crap - Download, Try out, Delete, Forget... No cash for sh*tty game developers from me!

i dont download anything illegal, well except music (price is way too high)

but saying pirates are the reason for the high prices is crap.
a good example for this is the gamecube..you cant pirate the gamecube for shit but still the games cost a fortune, sure its a smaller media which maybe cost a few more bucks compared to the ps2 and xbox (i dont know?) to make but not that mutch that its ok to have a price of 50-60$ and some even over 60$..its pathetic.
the price on games have been this high as long as i can remember here in sweden and i have lived quite a few years

the developers simple think that the games are worh this much, thats why we have these high prices.

and look at other software on the pc, its even more pathetic. i wont give any examples..i think everyone know already

they make the prices so high purely because they can. even with all the pirating about most people still pay the money for games, so companies are still making money. it'd be when they stop making money that we see the prices go down again.
