Err... You're wrong. He wasn't known only from '91-94... Mostly everyone who is a tad older used to listen / listens to Nirvana still... Even after he blew his brains out (or Courtney did that for him).

YES I KNOW.. I SAID MOSTLY KNOWN.. he went through severe depression and wrote his last song.. in 94/95.. his debut albumn bleach hit stores in 1989.. consisting of the first song they became famous for.. About a Girl. then nevermind came out.. in 91.. where they really hit off the charts with Smell's like teen spirit, then they went a different route and thought they were gonna lose half there fans with the albumn in utero.. then... in 94 they did the very famous mtv unplugged.. and then.. he went through lots of depression escaped from suicide clinique.. which then courtney shot the f**king brain out of his head

Wouldn't agree as well. After his death the record sales went up like mad once again... He became a HUGE celebrity overnight, as everyone was mourning him... Became more of a celebrity than before his death imho.
