It is quite a popular game, however, for the Western release of the game NCSoft have pulled out a lot of stops to create a better experience for that version (aka patch 1.5).
The Crysis engine really does make it a good looking game, it plays really well at the moment and the open beta is soon:

It's fun across all levels of play rather than just for those people who are at a certain level, say 50. There's a significant amount of XP to be earned via questing and the storyline is a good one too.

When you combine all of the elements the game has, the PVPVE especially - it's a fun and interesting title that should stand out from the crowd of Korean based MMOs and perhaps even win some skeptics over in regards to the grind, which is significantly less in Aion.
