i have a Nokia 6600, bought it in october 2004, very trusty mobile, but alas! today i saw the ad of Nokia 7710, though i'd saw it on TV quite a while ago, it looked so good, if only i could afford it :bucky!:

a marketing technique, mobiles are made to die so you buy a new one, glad i have 2 nokias, 2 motorolas, and some other logger lying around here so i have enough of em damn mobiles :francesco:

i've been very impressed with this phone. my old one had such horrible battery life. like i could talk on it for about 30 mins before it would die. and if i didn't talk on it all day, it MIGHT last about 14 hours from just being on (while not flipped open). but the LG is really nice. as the link says, the battery lasts for 200 mins talking, and 7.5 days just when on (while not flipped open).

i have only one gripe about this phone and that is when someone is calling, and i'm in the middle of doing something or in public and i want the ring to stop (but not hang up on the caller), i press the button on the side to stop the ringing but not hang up. (because i don't like to let the phone ring while i open it and decide whether i want to talk to the caller or not.) anyways so i press the button on the side to stop the ringing, but with this phone, i have to be careful when i do that because if i accidently press the button twice, it will hang up on the caller. so it took some getting used to, but i don't like how i can't just carelessly rub the side of the phone to press the buttons to stop the ringing. i have to be careful and make sure i only press the side button once as to not hang up on the caller. so that's my one gripe.
other than that i like the phone. oh yeah, my other gripes are i haven't been able to figure out if i can put on custom mp3's (as ringtones) also can't figure out if it's possible to put custom backgrounds on it.
