Welcome to Dongmakgol and Shadowless Sword

well, I've been watching alot of movies lately and most of them were crap. After one big disapointment
after another (did someone say The Promise and Legend of Seven Cutter?) I just watch two, that in my
opinion are some of the better I've seen lately.

First comes "Welcome to Dongmakgol", a movie about some soldiers (6 to be presice) who by chance
end up in a village. Korean North n South blabla and blabla well 3 north Koreans are on their way to
some place because blabla and end up in that village. A deserted South Ko soldier is found and saved
by another SKo medic when he tries to take his life (you'll find out later in the movie why). Well, now
alive they just started walking till they reach the village.. And an american Pilot who crash landed near
the village. In that village people are always friendly and never fight. In fact they havn't never seen a
gun before in their life. Now the movie starts out as a neat comedy, nothing to special but fun to watch
and entertaining, and ends kinda dramatic with a neat show down. besides the dude of "save the green
planet" is in it Well, I'm tired and won't write to much about it so if you like a light hearted comedy
with some action then give it a try. It's not the next JSA nor Tae Guk Gi but I thought it was worth
watching neverless.


The next is "Shadowless Sword". While the movie started with a boom it kinda turned pretty dumb after
the first 5 min. i was ready to turn it off but sinse i thought it was still better than GH Forum I kept
watching it (hey, I'm still posting here, ain't I ). For some reason Korean moviemakers can't just
make a serious eastern flick. they always have to put in some lame ass comedy/slapstick scenes in that
arn't funny. but after 30 min when the bad guys catches up the movie started ripping and I mean it in a
good way. This is a classic swordsplay movie ala Chinese Ghost Story and the Swordsman Saga. We're
talking about people flying around, Arrows that throws ya back 200 yards and decapitating everyone in it's
way. Sowrdsfighters who got the uber1337 skill that makes ya body explode if they pierce you with their
Kami style swords. This movie was screeming classic all the way to the end. Story? ah well...some bad
dude is trying to kill all the good guys but the good guys are so pathetic that it doesn't really matter to the
viewer. In fact it's the bad guys that made tha show with their acrobatic and string actions. a year or so
back some hype the movie " The Promise" aka WU JI to be the next big hit but it faild on every point of
view. Now this being also hyped up i was rather sceptic, having seen Promise and before that The Duelist I
thought that's it, Korea Movies had their time and goes straight downhill from here but this one got me
literaly with my pants down. even the first part of the movie was all talk and hardly action (besides the
intro scene) and makes you wanna turn it off and beat your children instead you find the last 2/3 of the
movie quiet entertaining, if you are into eastern swordsplay and people flying around. I recommand it for
everyone who is into those classic type of movies...for all the others...ah well, just watch it so you can bitch
about it later


usually I make better mini revs of movies but I'm tired now and my bed is calling me...but i still hope some
of you who are looking for a movie to watch will check them out and keep hailing me as god of movie tips XD


Next i'll be watching some classic and tell ya if they have stand the test of time like Chinese Odysse and God of Gamblers and such.

well haven´t seen any good flicks lately Kung Fu Hustle was midly entertaining,
although I will have to see it with og language and subs instead of german dubbed..

I never watched dubbed movies. always in original lang with subs.

I decided to warch all 5 "Aces go Places" Movies. Lets see if it's still all the fun as it was back in the wild 80ies

Other movies would be Prison on Fire 1 n 2 and Island on Fire, more ruthless prison action movie. Well, lets the classic shine again
