My bank is so helpful. I had the most delightful conversation just moments ago via the "Live Chat" feature from their website. I've censored names to conceal identity but it really doesn't take away from the conversation.
Let's just call the customer service rep "Banker" for now. I am Jon. Please wait for a representative to respond. Hello. This is BANKER in Member Service. How may I help you today? Jon: hello BANKER: Hi! Jon: i want to transfer money from my account to my brother's account (i have his account number here) Jon: i'm wondering if it can be done without actually GOING to the bank Jon: and i could verify that i really am me and not a criminal BANKER: The only way I can do that is with a signature. BANKER: Do you have a fax machine? Jon: unfortunately not. i have a web cam though BANKER: If you can fax a written request then we can verify your signature. BANKER: I don't know what you look like so the web cam wouldn't work. Jon: i just figured that if i could send a "bill" online to a business, why not send money to my brother? but oh well Jon: i have photo ID too i could hold it up to the web cam BANKER: Sorry! Jon: but if i have to, i will just go to the bank Jon: i just didn't want to drive BANKER: I need a signature to keep on file to prove the request. BANKER: I wish I could help you. The web cam idea is very clever. BANKER: I'll have to bring that up to my manager. Jon: oh yeah that would be awesome Jon: because mine is quality too Jon: my girlfriend gave me it BANKER: That is nice of your girlfriend. Jon: she saw you say that BANKER: Good! BANKER: You're a funny guy Jon! Jon: hey well thanks for the help and BANKER: You're welcome! Is there anything else I can help you with? BANKER: You're the first person that made me really laugh today so thanks for that! Jon: yeah i bet the other customers are noobs Jon: but i know you can't comment on that BANKER: No, actually they are all very nice, but sometimes people take their banking very seriously. Jon: well that is understandable Jon: i bet some people are like "I WANT ME FRICKIN MONEY NOW AEEEEE!" BANKER: Some times people are like that. BANKER: I don't give them money so I don't have that problem very often. Jon: i should probably stop talking now because you guys probably keep these conversations on file and i don't want any negative comments on my record BANKER: We do archive our chats, but we do not make comments on your record about the conversation. Jon: oh what a relief BANKER: Is there anything else I can help you with? Jon: it seems there is not BANKER: Thank you for visiting. Please contact us at anytime. Jon: there is one thing you can do Jon: you can have a nice day BANKER: Thanks! You have a nice day as well Jon. Jon: goodbye BANKER: Bye! following the conversation was a brief survey of simple Yes/No questions and then this question: Do you have any suggestions on how we could improve this service? my response: you can give BANKER a raise because he was such a nice fellow to answer my questions. such a pleasant person to chat with. he was humorous, yet professional. it makes me so happy to be a customer to people like BANKER. i'll be sure to use the Live Chat feature whenever i have a question about banking.

I wish the people at my ISP were as nice if i asked why my internet is down at times.
