Try Jeff Waynes war of the worlds, Apart from the story bits in between theres some really brilliant peices of music, lots have no words. Great guitars n keyboards. I know its not new but its a classic and it has music with no words.

Lemme see if I got anything...I guess the music with the least words I listen to is either Prong (post-thrash or thrash depending on who you ask), Black Label Society (1919 Eternal...that's their prime)...Prong's the most synthesized I got (from my semi-wide selection of metal) If you don't mind doing a bit of your own research, check this page and the style links coming from it; a lot of this stuff has a lot of synthesizing and few words: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_rock Pair that up with Napster (you get to listen to every song in the database free 3 times, so you can give these guys a listen) and you can decide for yourself. Guitars + Bass + Synthesizers = Rage Against the Machine, but that's really word-heavy. I'm trying to think...maybe...just maybe...I seem to remember King Crimson and/or Mr. Bungle being something like that...I don't like the bands, but I remember them being all unusual and synthy. Sorry I can't help more.

Pelican. Just heard their song, "March to the Sea" on the radio...20:28 of all-instrumental awesome. Okay, about 15:00 of instrumental awesome and 5:28 of stuff that was too slow for my metalhead tastes, but it's still pretty good. And the band is all-instrumental, all the time.
Look into them. That's all you should need to know. ;)
