anyone see 28 days later alternate ending?

i heard 28 days later has an alternate "darker" ending. aparrently it's the original ending, but people (pussy's actually) at the screening thought it would be better with the gay hippy lovingly ending. (if you havn't seen it yet, trust me, the ending's cheeze.)

meh, it wasn't great, but with a better ending, it could be more interesting, thats why i want to watch/read it. but i sure as hell aint going back to the theatre to watch it again just to see the alternate ending.

You were warned.

I just saw it last night.

After the credits finish, the screen goes black and a " ...What If " shows in the lower right hand corner (just as the previous '28 Days Later')

The scene takes place in some type of a hospital ER or OR (right after the gate-crashing.) Jim is laid out on a gurney with obvious abdominal wounds/blood/mess (from the gunshot.)

Hannah is frantically calling out Rx drug names as she digs through a cabinet, and Selena seems to be prepping Jim with IV/etc.

Selena shoots Jim up with nitro/adrenaline/(something like that), and continues to pump his chest and try to bring him back to life... to no avail.

Hannah asks Selena ' What are we going to do? '

Selena's response, ' Live.'

Hannah and Selena walking down hospital hallway with doors closing behind them.

IMHO, the main ending gives hope.

The alternative ending does not.
