Thought you guys might find this interesting as well. This post is a response to someone's criticism of my original mini-review.

I don't think this fact has eluded anyone but when it comes down to it if you were about to die would you rather trigger an EMP and live without your toaster or not and then just die. Also with all the advaned tech they seem to have I am suprised that they have not EMP proofed any of their equipment. Most of our important electronics in the Army were EPM proof. Another thing, my little brother showed me something very interesting tonight. The whole Matrix movie is basically a carbon copy of an old Twilight Zone episode called get this, "The Matrix". LOL, they even used telephones to transport into the real world from the matrix. I'm suprised the Wakistowskiwhaever brothers havn't been sued for plagerism.

I don't see why some people are "tired" of CG in movies.
I personally love them. I go see movies more for the effects than the story. It's basically what I plan on doing in a few years...That or game graphics. A lot of people are not tired of CG just yet...And they probably won't be any time soon. |

I saw it last Sunday, and I really liked it. Reloaded didn't seem at all like a Matrix movie. It was more of an action film alone really. But Revolutions, it had the same feeling that the first one had. No more rock techno music, the soundtrack was beautiful with orchestrated themes. It had the same feeling that the first one gave off, with some more action. While the first still was, and will remain the best, this one felt more like a sequel to the first, than the second one ever was.

I liked the first Matrix, but hated the second and third installments. It probably annoys me more than anything else that it's general assumption in the U.S. that the Matrix is the first and/or best example of the question "What is reality?". One trip to the forums at www.thematrix.com just made me lose all my faith in humanity -- or at least the little I had remaining.
Still, I'm not going to get into the many reasons I didn't like Reloaded/Revolutions (most of them referring to huge, gaping plotholes). The one question I will ask is this: Why have mech robot suits IF THEY DON'T ACTUALLY OFFER THE PILOT ANY PROTECTION?! That is all. Cheers, Mike |
