i´ve read trough the pages and see that rammstein was posted often it seems that rammstein is very popular outside germany i mean nobody likes them here can somebody give me an explanation of that? :huh:

you guys are dumb u guys forget of Deftones, and ministry. what kind of shit is that. and who ever list limp bizkit as a rock band is one of the most retarted people ever. and f**k slipknot they f**king suck so much dick off each other its not even funny. They're music is annoying and the whole band is dumb and they just started bobbin their heads. what kind of crap is that. seriously. :bucky!:

I'm not a fan of Slipknot either, but the weird thing is that individually they are all awesome musicians, but when they all come together they seem to destroy each others talents some how

You guys are alos missing out on some of the guitar legends and some that play in the relm of the legends but are just not know. You have Steve Vai, Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen (my favorite), and bucket head (he plays random crap but it sounds awesome). There are more but these guys are my top 4 favorite guitarists.

Theres something about metal that just seems kinda hick to me. How about listening to some good music. The Mars volta, AFI, Modest Mouse, Thrice, Deftones, In Reverent Fear, The Program, Thursday, My American Heart(kinda too emo), Radiohead, Cursive, Bright Eyes, Velvet Caliber, At the Drive in, Sparta, Incubus(old stuff only), Chevelle, Normal Like you, etc. etc.

Deep Purple were the first true Metal band & everything that came afterwards is simply 2nd best though ACDC & Napalm Death Cult truly rock also. Just take a listen to "Highway Star" by Deep Purple & you will see what i mean as you realise that the heavy metal sound which we all love so much has been here since the sixties B) :thumbup:

For me metal comes close to being good but often just falls short. Most of the time it's the vocals which put me off.

Most played music at the moment for me are:

Machinae Supremacy - "Deus Ex Machinae" (Download 25 free songs here. I don't know how many times i'm gonna have to pimp this before someone will take notice!)
Ash - "Meltdown" (absolutely wicked album, popish-rock at it's bestestest!)
Phantom Planet - "Self Titled" & "The Guest" (Started listening to them after "California", the theme tune to The O.C. :P )

& also anything by At The Drive In / The Mars Volta.
