Music is not art, Art is art you god damn noob. A person who plays music is not an artist, they are musicians... They like to think they are artists, but only the composers/producers have any artistic talent, even so they are still basically musicians.

Thrashing wildly on a guitar is about as artistic as shutting a spastic with the runs into a locked room with white walls. Only one person has ever pulled it off properly and that is Mr Hendrix, no one else comes close.

NerverstilL, Get out of your bedroom and meet some girls! You need to get rid of your aggresion in a much less homosexual manner! I know what the dictionary says. I was just voicing my concerns that many musicians class themselves as artists, when in 20 years time no one will remember them or any of the work they have done. Where as true artists leave a mark in their industry, i.e. The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Schubert, Mozart, etc.

In other words art is always personal and often polemic. If screaming your lungs out without ever re-creating yourself is art, then you're a bit f**ked in the head. Now, I can say what art is, and art is something that is either meant to be either enjoyed or studied so that we can learn something about ourselves. If your cup of tea is listening to a couple of tossers venting their anger down a mic and you enjoy that, then I sugest either anger managment or some sort of council. Slainte!
