To say that anything out of the late 90's is bad is just bullshit. What about Coldplay or Snowpatrol, or the Stereophonics? If you're a Yank, then I sugest you check those groups out, because they are quality!

Kurt died early on and I didn't care too much for Nirvana.
Pink Floyd did change quite a bit; listen to the Syd Barrett stuff
then Roger Waters stuff. David Gilmore's 1st solo LP (78'?) was cool.
I think Pink Floyd should have hung it up after Final Cut.
And Gilmore'd have done better if he didn't do the Floyd thing after Waters.

any cover band and there are lots and lots of them...

hate when I know the original and the exception are only a handful of good covers...the rest is bollocks!

Cow I can understand you liking the more "hip" bands today. It's just the era you grew up in if you're really as old as you say you are.
