NASTY Malware Bundle

OK, been coming to Gamers Hell quite a while...no problems. You have popups, but they WERE tame. Today I got one that was a VERY small window, half-obscured at bottom of page. I clicked on the X to close it, and I got BOMBED with malware. TV Media directory and a TON of ancilliaries. Ad-Aware found 217 registry entries from it...almost 400 files total. I got rid of all but TV Media...that one is resisting HijackThis! like a beetch! Housecall got rid of about 4 malwares, but still I can't dump this URL Search Hook and TV Media directory. Been fighting this for 3 hours now. You may have limited control over your advertisers' popups, but I am NOT going through this again! Can you do anything about this? I know I am not much help, as I didn't read the window, but most are normal sized windows...this was a one inch square one...and it is LETHAL! PLEASE help me stay with my favorite game news site.

No worries, admins will kill that ad as soon as they see your post and figure out which ad it is.

They will probably need to know what country you are in to help track down the advertiser.

Yeah the ads are getting out of control lately.. there was on that went through a 5 minute video on installing a home security system...

hiv mashed that one as soon as he found out it was running that annoying spiel

He does a real nice job of keeping the annoyance level of the ads to a minimum.

Same for me but I use Opera. I've never seen a single pop-up

No...no screenshots. As I said, I didn't even see what the ad said...was mostly hidden below Taskbar.
