hmmm... had some amazing problems installing them on my distro, but got there after un-installing previous drivers and also the MESA GL software renderer. Saying that tho, the rendering performance is a bit poor in comparison the OpenGL wizardness that is the Nvidia drivers.

I think they are starting to care at least.
With also with all the kerenel based vid driver improvment projects, I think this might be a good sign
