A new handheld device is coming soon, ladies and gentlement, I present...

The Gizmondo (I'm not advertising it)

It has MANY capabilities, and some of the games look like great ideas...

It's not out yet, but will be soon. The games for GPS look really cool (City & Colors as of now)

Here's my thought: Not the greatest time for its release! Going against the PSP is going to kill it no matter how good it is

That's a valid point, espescially since it's competing with Sony...almost a joke "Competing with Sony" ;)

Also, I think the release date is scheduled somewhere around summer for the US...

what's with the buttons? 3 of them are re-layed out ps2 joypad buttons and 1 is just bizarre...

"hey, how do i jump in this game?" "you press the button with the 9 tiny dots on it"

seriously though... looks pretty funky and has some potential but it doesn't have particularly impressive game-support so unless some major developers get behind it, it'll be somewhat of a flop.

Specs look good, but from our attempts at their marketing and pr so far, I would say they are going the zodiac or gp32 road.

N-Gage is probably the worst console currently, but with strong marketing they were able to sell one million units, which will be a basis for their future projects, instead gamepark and tapwave are barely known to most. Let's hope Tiger Electronics changes their route, gizmondo doesn't look bad.

I liked the GP32 over any other handheld gaming devices and this one looks like it's a babe,too. I got a weak spot for the underdogs
