First, I am not arguing with anyone. I know what I have read and thereligionofpeace.com has a handle on what the verses are saying.
Everyone wants to make Muslims out to be peace loving people, but what about the Muhammad cartoons? All the ridiculous outrage the world over! People in the streets proclaiming, "Behead all who oppose Islam!" and so on. Have any of you ever heard of the artist that pissed in a jar and dropped in a cross with an image of Jesus on it then took pictures? No? Maybe because there wasn't the outrage like the Muslims! No fatwa against the life of the artist, unlike the Muhammad cartoonist!
Christians don't look at another religion and decide that they need to destroy its believers or convert them by force to another belief system. For the most part, Christians try to live and let live. I don't know about the Qur'an, but the Christian Bible tells us that the Jews are God's chosen people. I guess the Qur'an says the opposite because they believe that they are evil and are to be destroyed.
Whatever might be in the Bible, Christians do not believe that their faith should be imposed on anyone and things like the crusades have been over for centuries. Muslims, on the other hand hold a grudge for centuries.
Like I said before ....
Go ahead and appease the Muslims until you live under Sharia law.
Also, this crap about how the regular civilians in the middle east are facing 2 threats because of the Americans fighting the terrorists, look at it this way; if they educated themselves and had a handle on their own people, we wouldn't have to.
Even at thereligionofpeace.com they sat you shouldn't judge Muslims by Islam and vice versa. Well, in my opinion, that isn't possible. A true Muslim understands his/her religion. Seems thereligionofpeace.com says that a large portion have only a superficial understanding of their religion. That is not a true Muslim in my view.
I was raised Southern Baptist, though I haven't been to a service in years. I could say I am a Christian, but I don't have the understanding of Christianity I believe necessary to make that claim. Though I probably have a better understanding of my beliefs than most Muslims have. I really don't know of anywhere in the Bible that a prophet said that God mandated that everyone be trampled under foot or converted to our religion by force.
Now, do I believe that all Muslims are evil? No, I don't. I have nothing against those that want to live and let live. But there are a large number that believe otherwise and I have issue with them. Those that want to blame everything on me and my way of life need to be stopped! If the countries of this world remained peaceful and took care of their own, we would have no need to be out there in others business.
The fact is that most Muslims had no choice in their religion and I understand that. But, if they don't follow the teachings of that particular faith's religious texts, that is basically a hypocrite. This is the same reason I don't follow a particular faith, far too many hypocrites! I cannot stand a person that declares themselves a good Christian on Sunday morning and then goes home, grabs a beer, smacks the wife and kids, asks where their G*******ed cigarettes are and then goes out later to see their mistress! I saw a lot of this kind or behavior when I was growing up in the church.
My personal beliefs are simple. I will live my life my way and the best I can. I will do what I can to help others, if and when I can. You do the same and don't threaten me and mine. Then and only then will we get along.

That website is not reliable, it is obviously an anti-muslim site. Find a neutral source, that is not siding with anyone. Then I will discuss this further with you. What you are doing now is merely making people think that you are a childish argument-seeker that doesn't recognise the unreliability of certain sources.

Look, you obviously didn't read the site completely. First they are talking about the actual life of MUHAMMAD and the actual writings IN THE QUR'AN.
You obviously didn't read this ...
Quote:
From the Editor
Our Statement on
Muslims (and Islam)
"Don't judge the Muslims that you know by Islam and
don't judge Islam by the Muslims that you know. "
Since we hear from so many critics who either don't take the time to read this site, or simply can't understand the distinction between Islam and Muslims, we thought it best to bring together in one place what we have said in so many others over the years.
Islam is an ideology. No ideology is above critique, particularly one that explicitly seeks political and social dominance over every person on the planet.
Muslims are individuals. We passionately believe that no Muslim should be harmed, harassed, stereotyped or treated any differently anywhere in the world solely on account of their status as a Muslim.
Islam is not simply a belief about God. It is a word that means Submission. Islam is a set of rules that establish a social hierarchy in which Muslims submit to Allah, women submit to men and all non-Muslims submit to Islamic rule.
Since we don't live in a Muslim country (where censorship, intimidation and brute force are shamelessly employed to protect Islam from logical deconstruction), we are still free to openly exercise our right to debate the merits of the Islamic value system against Western Liberalism.
Are men really superior to women as the Qur'an says? Are women intellectually inferior as Muhammad taught? Does propagating material (the Qur'an) that openly curses people of other religions amidst random calls to violence really improve the health of our societies? Is it right to keep women as sex slaves, merely because the Qur'an explicitly allows it in multiple places? Should atheists and homosexuals have to choose between the noose and an outward profession of faith in Allah?
Yes, there are Muslims who take issue with these aspects of Islamic theology, but it doesn't change what Islam is. Don't confuse the ideology with the individual. Don't draw conclusions about Islam based on the Muslims that you know, be they terrorists or humanitarians. Islam must be understood on the basis of what it is, as presented by the Qur'an the Hadith and Sira (biography of Muhammad).
By the same token, don't draw conclusions about the Muslims in your life based on the true nature of Islam. Like any other group, not all Muslims think alike.
If our years of dialogue with literally hundreds have taught us anything, it is that most Muslims (even devout ones) have only a superficial understanding of their religion. Most never made the choice to be Muslim, so (as with all religion) there are widely varying degrees of seriousness to which they may take their faith.
The Muslims that you know are not terrorists. More than likely their interests in life are similar to yours and they have the same ambitions for their children. They should neither be shunned, mistreated nor disrespected merely because of their religion. Their property should not be abused, and neither should copies of their sacred book be vandalized.
Pre-judging an individual by their group identity is not only unethical, it is blatantly irrational, since it reveals nothing about them. Every individual should be judged only on the basis of their own words and deeds.
Don't judge Islam by the Muslims that you know, and don't judge the Muslims that you know by Islam.

As I said, a person that doesn't agree with their particular religious text isn't a true follower, therefore a Muslim that doesn't agree with the text is not a true Muslim!
You are the one NOT making the distinction between Islam and what people call Muslims. And as for it being one-sided, Islam is strictly one-sided, you appeasers just refuse to see that.
End of line ...

A True Muslim? No! A True Muslim Follows The Religious Teachings Of Their Religious Texts!
You seem to have a problem understanding that truth. I call those that claim to be followers of a particular religion that don't hypocrites! It is like claiming to be a Satanist but you don't agree with the religious text and teaching. It falls along the same lines.
You also have to realize that Islam allows its followers to lie to the infidel to reach an end. So, you have no idea if they are really being honest when they say that they are really a peace loving group. Islam itself is not peace loving where other religions are concerned. They are mandated to destroy or convert by the Quor'an.
Good luck in your country. You can look forward to the same thing happening in your country that happened to Lebanon years ago. A day will come when the Muslims are the majority and they place Muslims fully in power and then start changing the laws to suit their religious beliefs. Sharia law will become the way.

You are not only the narrow minded one but you have absolutely NO reading comprehension.
READ CAREFULLY ...
A true Muslim follows the teachings of that religion, which is ISLAM. The teachings of ISLAM are all of dominating the world. The donination I speak of is the RELIGOIN. They are MANDATED to dominate ALL people of other religions. Either forced conversion or just to subjugate them under THEIR rule.
If someone claims to be a peace loving Muslim, they are either a HYPOCRITE or a LIAR! END.OF.STORY.
