I agree, Iran is a threat to the world, and their government should be overthrown but you have to agree this whole mess wouldn't have happened in the first place if Bush hadn't decided to illegally invade Iraq on completely false grounds in the first place. I can't deny that other country's followed Bushes lead as lapdogs, but they didn't initiate this effort for control of the worlds biggest oilfields under the flag of fighting terrorism.

Iran's government should be overthrown but not by the us or any other country that isn't local. All it will do is raise a generation of war and shellshocked people in Iran that will have their hearts set on destroying America and it's allies. A full out war in Iran, regardless of whether I support it or not will have a terrible counter effect and will also mean you guys will have to put in more money into the war machine and America isn't doing so well financially anyway. Hey, perhaps you guys can ask MS to fund the war on Iran, they have more then enough money :P

That link husseind and terror...you do know americans turned to BBC when the 11th sept attack happened? That's how much people trust CBS. What's the difference between dictator and president? You choose presidents but they are still from the same mold, same assholes.

Everything in taht link just seems to be under control of the western world meaning western propaganda. I don't believe in it. That chart is just rediculous. It says in small print that those numbers are from between 1963 or something and forward. AFAIK, Saddam became ruler of Iraq in the 80s.

And it keeps mentioning american lives, aren't people of other nationalities worth as much?

You could say FBI and CIA are terrorist organisations as well, if your not friendly to the west.

I dont like either side.

Thanks for the links but we in the free western world are already well informed, we don't support a government that has Bush lying to us with a straight face, and then we vote to give him a second go in the hot seat. I have never denied the reign of terror that Hussein spread amongst his population but it's minor compared to the absolute disgusting war that rages and kills the people and future economy of Iraq as an whole. The US and it's allies (my home country, the Netherlands participates in it too) have no business there but oil, and don't give a rats ass about the population that first suffered under Saddam and now under an even worse lack of regime and a nation that doesn't get the local values. This war on terror or for control of the worlds oil reserves, whatever you wanna call it is just hurting the innocent citizens of Iraq and the average tax paying American.

I'm too lazy to Google now, but didn't that involve some attack in Vietnam that never occurred or just partially? It came up in the news a few years back I think, had something to do with the president lying to his people but Americans must be used to that anyway. I saw this interesting bit on Discovery channel the other day that reinacted the famous last battle of general Custer and that never happened as history describes it. The guy got decimated within 2 minutes, I don't know why I suddenly brought that up :Oo: Time for the head medicine again

essentially The Gulf of Tonkin was a "supposed" VC attacks on US Destroyers in the Gulf, which resulted in NAM.

Before the Gulf War started, the U.S. showed some pics of babies in an incubator and saying something bad about Iraq. Supposedly those pics were from Iraq and those babies were gonna die. It turned out these pics weren't true (most likely not even taken in Iraq) but U.S. already had the public with them. The war was started.

It's always a propaganda war to begin with to make the other side seem evil enough. Justifying it.

I'm so sick of hearing about this. The media in England has beaten the story to death.
