Delay Piss and Moan

Game delays are right up there with smoking bans for me. Sure it is not quite as bad as eventually, I will get to play the game. Still, I get rather pissed when I follow a game for, sometimes years, and then one or two months before it is supposed to launch, delayed! GTA4 is a great example of this. It was supposed to come out this year dammit! And I, as well as most of you, was expecting to play it this year but noooooo. It is delayed six &&*^&%$% months because of some horseshit with Sony! (just a guess) Another one I was looking forward to this year was Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. That is now slated for March 08! Crysis, although it hasn't been delayed (yet) is also on my piss list! The reason Crysis is pissin me off is not because it has been delayed, it is because they(EA) does not know what soon means! At the end of Jan, EA said they would announce plans for a beta etc.. soon. It has almost been seven damn months and there has been barely anything new released!

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?! I swear, if the reason GTA4 is delayed is due to the PS3, I am actually going to go on a beer strike! And really, Age of Conan delaying for five months?? COme on! It is not like it was redefining the genre! Although it better for this kinda delay! As for Crysis, well lets face it, it is EA. The day they do something right I'll win the lotto!

There are many more games I want to bitch about due to delays but, I don't wanna at the moment. Mainly cause I am irritated. But you should get the point. Here is a tip to devs/publishers: When you want to post a release date, don't! Add two to three more months to it then post it. Gamers get pissed when you say a game will be out at a certain date they push it back six months! It is better to over shoot it and release it early(like that will ever happen)

This year was looking like the year of the gamer but, if this kinda shit keeps up, it will have to wait til next year or the year after or the year after that etc....

Spore man i do dislike EA a bunch, but hopefully the push backs will be for the better.

Gta4 isn't delayed because of Sony. Actually the lack of space on the 360 disc is causing all the delay, getting a highly detailed city on a 9 gig disc isn't as easy as it seems so in the end it's the 360 causing the damage again.

It has nothing to do with the size of the disc! The game is incomplete!... you know, like NOT FINISHED! The only reason why any game needs more than 9GB would be if they include either of the high definition video and audio formats.

I was not even going to get into Duke for obvious reasons! As for GTA4, the 360 is not the problem as I hear it. It is a contractual obligation with Sony and the fact that Rockstar is having some major issues with the PS3 dev kit. So, as far as I know, tis not the 360 or the dvd that is the problem, it is Sony! Now, make no mistake, I don't know for sure what the hell the problem is. It could be either one. All I know is the game is delayed and I am pissed

Right, high definition video and audio. Those sure aren't next gen words there, 8 bit sounds and 640x480 resolution. That's what these slow consoles can handle :dennis:

I don't care what kinda crap you want to blow out your Sony fanboy butt, I think it stands to reason that more than one, hell more than five, devs have bitched about the problems with the PS3 dev kit and what a pain in the ass it is. I can't imagine the problem stems from adding content to more discs especially since every damn gamer on earth would not care to switch a disc to play GTA4 :P
