SONY has done nothing for Formula1 Gazz. I think you are getting them mixed up with AMD and intel, both of these companies contribute heavily to datacentres and track, car and race telemetry systems. PS2/3 are not used as simulators, they are used as track awareness tools for newer drivers. I know for a fact that teams like Williams and McLaren and a lot of UK based outfits use expensive simulator systems that cost 10's of millions of pounds and are able to produce reliable statistical analysis on many car, driver and race scenarios.

Yes they do, and have been active in F1 for decades now.They started in the late 70's with the mobile tape recorders they co-produced with Philips. The picture is of a tokyo but I couldn't really find the one I was looking for. You must know the ones I am talking about anyway, there wasn't a school in Europe that didn't have these things in the 80's for whatever purpose


I didn't say they used the PS2/3 to some extent for no reason. I'll quote myself to make it clearer,

I am aware of those simulators and would give anything to be in one of those But first I am going to Zandvoort this weekend for the start of the A1GP season, hope it will be funner then the Champcar race in my hometown Assen a month ago, Doornbos sucked ass there.
