Quicktime is not a plug in.

Stupid Apple and their fascist programs. I wanted to view a trailer on another site and it needed the Quicktime plug in. Fair enough Gazz thinks and I try to install the plug in. Firefox tells me I need to do so manually and I go along with that suggestion. Go to the required file that Apple pointed me at only to find out that they are trying to install the entire Quicktime and I tunes program on my pc.

I don't have much more to say about Apple then this: Fuck you Apple, trying to please the creative crowd with your superior sound and image editing that can also run on any pc. Lucky enough the lefty artistic crowd that tries to stand out of the crowd by buying an underachieving overpriced pc (yes, an Apple is just a pc) are the ones supporting your company because your crappy ass would have never made it past the 90's without those idiots.

I always wondered why so many creative people struggle with their emotions, and why the suicide rate in that particular group is so high. Now I have the answer, one day they woke up, switched on their Apple with Andy Warhol wallpaper and all of the sudden realised that all the freedom they have been fighting for has been taken away by a machine they purchased themselves. I hate Apple and their gay products mainly because they're overpriced as hell and only average quality but there is also a lot of spite just because!

And I agree, Quicktime is the worst product ever, it's so sloppy on pc it gives me headaches (try to resize it, lol).

Try Quicktime Alternative, a codec pack that lets your pc play quicktime videos with any player.

Edit: but you folks are right. QT sucks, I prefer DivX and wmv. And Apple is lousy in my opinion as well. Ipod = average & expensive, and mac computers are really no better then Windows or GNU/Linux systems. While they are so expensive, compared to what you get (as far as I know).
My father's pc is quite an outdated now, and he has been thinking of switching to Mac when his good old Compaq Pressario dies. I hope I convinced him, when I told him Apple is like Microsoft for a major part. That is, an enterprise that is smelling dollars and not caring of quality sufficiently.

Well I need to get used to work with Macs, but noone in my class uses them. Though this is not because of the Mac itself, it's just that the "Experts" at school don't know how to get a novell enterprise working with mac, or atleast they aren't trying. When it is in fact, not that hard. :O
