You are misinterpreting. Socialized medicine is, by definition, state run medical care. It wasn't comparing YOU to anything, simply stating that socializing medical care is not the answer to the health care crisis the US is dealing with.

Besides, if Slay and I seem to be aggresive at times, put yourself in our shoes. You seem to be proud of your country and what it has accomplished, so it shouldn't be hard to do.

How do you think you would react if every few days someone who hadn't ever even been in your country saw a sensationalized news report about the latest "crisis" in Holland and posted on these forums about how stupid you people are for allowing it to happen?

I bet you'd get pretty pissy yourself.

Okay, I agree with your last 3 paragraphs and apologise.

Though I didn't say that the government has to be taking "control" of the health care completely. That doesn't happen in the Netherlands either. But I think it is better that I don't try to express myself better, because probably I keep missing the target every time I try.
