Does anyone here remember the Amiga 512 by Commodore? I have 2 of them that still work. My favorite games are After Burner and Blood Money.
Anyone else have one? Or used to have one?

At the time, my mate had an Atari STFM (I hear you cringe!) it was good for music, far better than the Amiga, so I decided to get one, it was the STFMe model, which had some seriously bad compatibility issues with games, not sure why. So I was a bit annoyed and bought an Amiga 512 and it happily sat besides the Atari for ages, it had more usage that's for sure with the ole STFM taking dust. Can't remember how I sold them in the end.. I'd love to have one again. I've heard commodore (which is not the same company as it was before in the amiga days) is bringing out a PC version of its C64. That would be cool if you could plug it into a HDMI socket on the pack of a TV and use it like the old days of computing, but a bit more up to date.
I had an Amiga 512 and an Atari 1040STFM (sadly not the STe), both really good 16-bit computers, but I used the Amiga for games and the demoscene and the Atari as a bit of MIDI managment interface for my synths and soundbank. My best games on these machines were from Psygnosis, Gremlin the Bitmap Brothers in particular Lemmings, Lotus, Blood Money, Gods, Shadow of the Beast, Sensible Soccer, Puggsy, Cannon Fodder... to name but a few.
Commodore USA (not the original manufacturer CBM sadly as they passed away in 2004) are working on a PC compatible computer now and building within the Amiga512 chassis, but its not clear if they intend to run Windows or a new version of the AmigaOS on it. Might be worth doing some digging on google. Would be great if it had a fixed function CPU for Amiga512 compatibility though wouldn’t it?
Commodore 64 then amiga when they came out, i still got them all. a500 a600 1200 4000 etc. and loads of other stuff for them.
Nice collection Myk. I have an Atari 800XL and the 1040STfm wrapped up in bubble wrap in the loft. I sold my a500+ years ago to a friend as I needed the cash to buy my 1st decent PC. I have always regretted doing that, but I needed the money at the time.
